It is with great pleasure and sadness that we write you. Since September 2006 we have called Park Forest home and have enjoyed the management staff. We had the pleasure of knowing Mary Lou Pixley and her warm, inviting personality. She had the perfect apartment for us that became our tree house. When we came looking for an apartment, I was in a hurry to find somewhere to live and her team was able to accommodate us. She understood that was going on in my life and took a genuine interest in doing everything she could to make things better.

Suzanne and Sarah have done an excellent job carrying on Mary Lou’s legacy. Every time we checked in they always asked if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. They were very attentive to our living needs and have always addressed any concern that we may have had. Park Forest was a quiet living community with friendly neighbors and staff and we will miss living there very much.

Times have changed in my family, and we have been helping my ill Mom financially while she goes through the process of receiving Social Security Disability and Medicare. Unfortunately the waiting period is very long for this process (2.5 years) and the health insurance premiums for unemployed terminally ill citizens is very expensive ($850/month). In order to help financially support my Mom through this process and hopefully through her double-lung transplant if it comes to this, we must leave our apartment and move in with her in order to maintain her health insurance.

In closing, we just wanted to make sure that your group was aware of what great place Park Forest is to live and hope that you continue to provide the great level of service for years to come.
